Untouchables homage

I got the feeling from most of the film that it was heavily dramatized and Hollywood fluffery (much in the way straight outta Compton was but with worse writing and directing than that film), but the scene at the dinner table where Suge puts the hurt on the backstabber was a little too reminiscent of Robert Dinero as Al Capone. Rip-off? Homage? Actual story from death row records?
