Thanks for the clip like someone said in the IG Comment his voice needs to be a little deeper.
shareNo problem. Yea his not deep enough and with not a 100% feeling Pac from him yet BUT, but, but, I'm still going to hold on to my judgement and give it a chance since it's only 15 sec.
Not to mention, Tupac rap voice was deep too so how is that going to play out? I know I'm nitpicking but from the footage it could sound a lil odd and unbelievable. Now granted, you can lip sing but have at least a "voice" that similarly match the actual singing/rap "voice" that you're portraying. Probably not going to get what I'm say...

That's Kasinova the Don "mystery". Not the actor
shareOk I just checked and you're right. I've never heard more than his name until now. Wow, there's quite a few Tupac soundalike rappers taking up for him I noticed.
shareYea a lot imitations, impersonations. He's the third actor to play who's got the BIGGEST shoes to play him than the others.
shareYeah I'm not feeling him. They should have went with Romany Malco , this guys performance can ruin the film. Can wait to see John Singletons .
I'm Blade brown, the Dopest, illest, hypest brotha, on the block!
He needs to be a little more casual, because I can tell he's trying to act. He's forcefully neck rolling and barking at everyone.
shareYep. I found out awhile ago this his debut role and he had 4wks of acting training for this role. That's not enough especially for this role and it being his first. O'shea Jackson Jr. spent almost two years acting training and having callbacks just to play his dad.
But you know what, imma give him the benefit of the doubt, cuz this could be his first/second/third take and not the final and hopefully that final he stepped up the range. They shouldn't never released this and waited for the trailer cuz you already got people feeling skeptical now just on a 15 sec clip.
Yeah. that's not nearly enough time to prepare for a role as big as this so yeah lets give him the benefit of the doubt cause that was a good point you made, belive me no 1 can be bad as Anthony Mackie was as Tupac Mackie is a good actor but he damn sure not suited to play pac they where better off getting fredro starr or somebody in that flim to play Pac.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah we'll see, not terribly impressed but they rushed the movie so I never expected it to be... Hopefully it will be half-decent
Somedays you just can't dispose of a bomb.
Shipp got this, he got the mannerisms and everything, ya'll dont make movies so ya'll don't know what ya'll talking about.
Somebody in this thread suggested Romany Malco....man ya'll lose all credibility. Picked Romany because he's black with a bald head? He don't look ish like Pac.
This movie is going to be lit!
Well, like I said in my other post, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt cuz that's probably not his final take. But THIS take wasn't really a "good" one to show anyway. cuz IMO, he sounds a little bland and it feels too hard to sound passionate/persuasive. He sounds like he's making a speech like why should be the class president instead of sounding like somebody being falsely accused of a heinous crime. But again, imma hold my judgement/reaction until trailer and then the actual film cuz this could be just a earlier take. And I would never suggest Romany Malco, maybe for a parody of SNL...
