Not expecting the same quality as Straight Outta Compton

...but I am hoping it will still be good. Apart from the cinematographer who has done films like The Incredible Hulk and Die Hard With A Vengeance, just about every other significant person on All Eyez on Me, bar that chick from The Walking Dead, hasn't done anything of significance. We've waited a long time for a Tupac movie, I just hope it doesn't turn out like that Aaliyah film. But I am hoping to be surprised, as the trailer is ok.

Agreed, and yeah, it doesn't look terrible. But still, I was hoping for a better treatment of the material. It certainly deserved to have a big studio back it. NWA was big, and the movie made a lot of movie. However, Tupac is BIGGER, and in theory, should be able to pull more money, assuming the movie was of high quality caliber. But this... I don't know.

While I liked the Straight Outta Compton movie, I felt it could have been better had Dr. Dre and Ice Cube not had so much input. They basically sugarcoated N.W.A's controversial story and made themselves look too good.

I have a feeling this new 2Pac film will be a little more objective in its approach and showing all sides to Pac's character.

Perhaps, I know Singleton left the project because he claimed they were "disrespecting" his legacy. Just gotta wait and see. I don't have high hopes for the movie. It looks cheap with that ugly logo, the lead does not draw me in and the cast does not wow me. I will see it cuz I am here to support a wonderful, black musical great!

Let's hope this movie is NOT about deconstructing 2Pac aka tarnishing his "image". I already know they are not going to tell the truth, they are going to sensationalize 2Pac's life and make "The Don" look like a caricature. They won't explore the esoteric circles and hidden hands that "targeted" 2Pac since birth. With that being said, if this happens...I will patiently wait for THE REAL MOVIE about Mr. Makaveli to surface!
