Money B, EDI, and Noble are playing themselves?

What? That's going to be the weirdest, dumbest thing for a bio, that sets a decade ago and their old asses are playing their younger selves.

I heard the same thing...it is questionable. I hope it doesn't backfire. They don't have much acting experience.

Well I don't think it has anything to do with acting experience...YOU just don't play yourself in a movie unless it a Documentary, its just one of those unwritten rules. Just like in sports, you want someone else to give you a nickname if you are "great", you don't give yourself the nickname...although some athletes have done this and they make fun of them. I wonder if this was the payoff so their "likeness" could be in the film. Its just goofy as filmmakers for them to make that "move".

Jackie Robinson, Eminem and 50 Cent played themselves in their own biopics. However, that was a little different because it was their own story being told not through the lens of someone else.

But, I don't understand why Pac "friends" would want to play themselves? I know nothing is happening for the three of them. They still put out music but nobody seems to care about it. The highlight of their rap careers was being affiliated with Pac during DU + Outlawz years. Some of these older rappers are living in the past all three of them. It's quite sad. Money B is in every documentary almost on Pac's life. Like, do you have a career for yourself? He can only reminisce about DU years. EDI + Noble are still discussing about Pac in interviews in 2016. Even though they still create music and put out albums nobody seems to care.

But, here they are making money playing their old forty-year selves. LOL!

At first, I thought you was defending this, but to mega pac fans or anybody else I cant see nobody ACTUALLY defending nor comparing anything to THIS. This is like if Cube and Dre played themselves in SOC and the rest was actors. I don't understand how Hutton and Morgan Creek approved this. And the reason why Edi and Noble doing it cuz they wanna help out with the movie and the pac actor but that's what consultants are. You help out BTS not being in the film. That doesn't make any sense. It's strange/weird enough if the guy that played Biggie coming back which both films aren't going to be connected but this why this is hilarious...

EDI, Noble + Money B are hungry and want to work. Plain and simple! These are aging rappers who never had the career like Pac they love saying they knew him and "that was their boy!" Edi goes by the Don now. Hmm...

Yeah, I just looked at the credits and although I couldn't find Noble listed EDI MEAN is listed to be played by Malcolm Greenidge (which is his real name)

And keep in mind that Young Noble was only 18 when Tupac died (EDI 22)... And Noble don't look nowhere near 18 these days, so yeah that's probably gonna be one of the least believable things having Demetrius Shipp as Tupac being almost like a father figure to a guy that looks almost twice his age

Exactly. Then we some people call them out on that, others that's kissing their ass so much, they start adding 50 and Eminem playing themselves for comparison. Why? That was a different scenario so your statement is invalid at this point. I know y'all true pac fans and y'all want this film to be "Oscar worthy" amazing but y'all can't skip certain things that's just a little "questionable" and that's not hating, that's just concerns.

Having 50 cent act as himself as a teenager in GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN wasn't really believable, luckily that was rather short so we didn't have to think about that too much...

It's safe to asume that the reason they cast EDI and NOBLE as themselves was because they had to rush filming and didn't have time to find and train any actors to play them on top of everyone else, and also if EDI and NOBLE are on set with the 'pretend' Outlawz they can school them a bit on what their characters are like and would act like in the situations of the movie and stuff

But yeah it will most likely look ridicolous, and I don't think they are gonna spend any money on CGI'ing them to look younger BENJAMIN BUTTON-style either

I'm not expecting this to be nowhere near Oscar worthy though, we're gonna be lucky if it's on par with NOTORIOUS considering they had to start filming literally in the last couple of weeks of 2015 just because it was stated in the contract that they lost the right to use Tupac's music if they started any later

And Benny Boom have not proven himself as a director yet with mainly direct to dvd movies on his resume

Yup, exactly! And then having all these celebrity press screenings too. This like the 10th screening they did. Why couldn't you just have 1 (with the family, close friends, and others celebs who's been in the film industry bts for better critique)? In fact, why dont just have a test screening showing random locals to give you their audience pov? I know they're trying to get good buzz and want their pov but not like this tbh.
