After reading his Book E.ARL the auto biography of DMX I couldn't help but feel like I was watching a movie. His story was so tragic and good you couldn't help but Root for the guy.

shareHe's not a horrible person , he has been through allot if you knew his story than you will see why he's the way he is. He's not perfect but not that bad a guy either. You should read his auto Bio.

I guess a movie could be done but DMX does not have that ICONIC AURA about him. He is talented but BIOS are made with people who have a larger-than-life presence.

I disagree he's very iconic .people like to hold his drug use against him as a way to discredit him, his drug abuse has caused him to be an unsung hero . If you watched as many bios as I have you will see not all of them were saints either.

I didn't say his wasn't iconic because of his drug use. If that's the case, then one could argue that Whitney Houston is not iconic because of her drug use. Whitney Houston like Tupac Shakur is iconic. DMX is amazing but for the longest time he was called a Tupac clone and he was compared to Tupac a lot. He was able to be his own person as far as his artistry goes but once again its not enough. DMX does not have that iconic edge, sorry.

Well he wasn't trying to be like Tupac as far as I know he wasn't a big fan, he was similar in his poetic and realness but he wasn't trying to be a clone ! Imany artist are similar

Guy smokes crack, has kids with 10 different women, abuses animals, and blows his millions. Yeah, that's someone I really want to root for.

They're not mistakes though, they're dark sides of a fairly complicated character, some would say they're unforgivable despite any remorse shown. Dog fighting and animal cruelty isn't a mistake, you don't say whoops after being caught killing dogs. DMX has a couple of good albums, one excellent one and then he pretty much fell off. He doesn't have the charisma either, not even close. I'm saying all this as a fan of DMX's music.
