They have got Jamal Wooolard back as Biggie, why not ask Corey or Marcus back as Dre and Suge? It's the same for the upcoming Mich'ele movie, why are different actors playing Jerry Heller, and Ice Cube, I understand this isn't Marvel or DC, but I think the actors in Straight Outta Compton nailed their roles that they should play them again always.
shareSame reason why they didn't ask Denzel to reprise his role as Malcolm X in that Muhammad Ali movie (even though he was probably filming Training Day at that point). It's very rare for them to reuse the same actors when it comes to biopics. The only reason why they brought back Woolard as Biggie was because the casting for this movie was lazy. Plus Corey Hawkins was filming that King Kong movie (ironically with Jason Mitchell who played Eazy E in SOC), and I think R Marcos Taylor is reprising his role as Suge Knight in that Michel'le biopic.

shareAs far as SOC Suge goes, he played that role well... But he was maybe too threatening for this movie.
Tupac and Suge were good friends so they need to show different sides to Suge than just a menace.
He will play Suge again in GIRL FROM COMPTON aka SURVING COMPTON though where his menacing ways will be more needed I asume.
As far as Dre goes, he wasn't that memorable in SOC if you ask me.
A good father and a good outlaw can't settle inside the same man.
