The dialog is horrible! All that work and then when anyone opens their mouth, it's not even regular cable TV quality writing. Too many sith and fkucs. Maybe watch Cold Mountain? Or anything to lift a few period phrases.

Hardly a masterpiece. But to each his own. I'm in agreement with OP-- Cold Mountain is better.
