Surpringly Delightful

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. I thought Lily James did a great job of showing Cinderella's innate kindness and compassion. When she smiled, she lit up. She showed kindness in the midst of her pain, and the "have courage and be kind" message throughout the movie is especially good for kids to hear. I really enjoyed giving the Prince a backstory and showing his loving relationship with his father, with which he can bond with Cinderella. Cate Blanchett is delightful in her role of course.

I can picture Kit and Ella swinging with their kids in the secret garden, singing and laughing together. It made me wish for a scene showing that after the wedding to show the "happily ever after"!
