Do you think Lady Tremaine would have accepted a counter-proposition?

If Cinderella tried to haggle down Lady Tremaine's offer by agreeing to arrange wealthy husbands for Anastasia and Drizella but nothing else, would Tremaine have accepted?

It's possible she might have. But this version of Lady Tremaine seems more obsessed with having power over Ella. She'll let Ella marry the prince - but only if she has her way. So I don't think she would have allowed Ella to dictate things.

I just love the comeuppance of it all. If Lady Tremaine would have been a nice person to Ella, she would have ended up happy as well because Ella would have made sure she lived happily ever after too.

True, but if Lady Tremaine had been a nice person, there would have been no story at all.

There would be one since the Duke became an antagonist in this version but it'd not be the same story.
