The shade of blue of the dress

Did anyone else notice that the shade of blue of the dress is different in the film and in some of the IMDB promotional photos?

Yeah it's way softer in these IMDb pics...in the movie it was brighter for sure

I think it's because it's made from a certain fabric that catches the light and reflects it either softer or brighter in certain lighting.

I agree, but mostly I feel that the dress's color was altered/heightened in post-production to make it appear more ethereal and magical. I think the same thing was done with Richard Madden's eyes; his eyes are blue but not that blue.

I saw the huge poster for the film in a theater before its release, and it is exactly like those here. It is not at all an accurate representation of the actual dress in the film which is a much deeper shade of electric blue. I noticed it too and I think it's a shame. I much prefer the softer blue in the promotional photos. It matches Kit's outfit perfectly as well.
