'someday my prince will come'

That song had no place in the movie, Cinderella never fantasized about someone coming to rescue her, she was a lot stronger than cartoon Cinderella honestly. I like that they showed the prince also needing direction and someone to push him to be confident and his own person, and the father dyibv scene made me cry, Ella and the prince rescued in other and saved one another. I loved this adaptation the most.

"Someday My Prince Will Come" was sung by Snow White while she was in hiding for her life from the evil Queen, NOT Cinderella.

Cinderella's song in the animated film was 'A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes' and it has nothing to do with meeting a Prince but of the importance of holding onto dreams and not losing hope in life. You might want to watch the 1950 film again as Cinderella never once mentions being rescued by a man.

In fact she is rescued by her friends the mice just like in this film, but unlike in this film (although I still love it) she is the one who comes up with the solution to fetch Bruno to frighten Lucifer away to get herself out of the attic.

As much as I love this film (Lily James is super sweet) Animated Cinderella was much more pro-active, which is ironic as the film was made in the 50's.
