It was funny. John Cena, I'm a fan.

This movie had laugh out loud scenes. All the leads were good, but Cena steals the show, especially with his songs.

totally agree , Cena is a god damn good actor , he's really funny

reply

Genuinely surprised me how good he has gotten over the years.

Especially his comedic timing. It's pretty darn impeccable.

The dude is killing it lately. The man is truly becoming a great actor. Never resting on his laurels.

Unlike the likes of The Rock & Vin Diesel, Cena doesn't mind playing the idiot. The butt of the joke.

Him & Batista are genuinely entertaining to watch. Cause they don't mind making a fool of themselves, getting beaten up or dying on screen.

reply

I did enjoy the songs.

It was a good film. It could have been better written but overall I enjoyed it.

reply

JUST ADDED IT TO MY WATCHLIST...THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP.

It was alright. John Cena definitely elevated it, he gave 110%. He's really funny, I became a fan after Suicide Squad and Peacemaker.

reply

I thought it was hilarious. Man, that scene in the bowling alley.

I absolutely agree on this also. This movie is hilariously good. That whole entire "baby" scene and those William H Macy scenes. Fantastic comedy. 😂

In my honest opinion, movie fans. Please don't sleep on this movie. Cena and Batista have been amazing outside and inside of pro wrestling. The Rock should learn from those two.

reply

Normally, not my type of movie, but it is great, funny and touching.

Cena was fantastic here. He's one of those actors who is willing to do anything. No shame. He just gives it his all whether it's the grossest of gross-out humor or the most authentic of dramatic acting. The central premise of this film is ridiculous, but if you can get past it, Cena makes it worthwhile. It was really very meta because Cena played an actor playing a fictional character who essentially altered his personality to make that fictional character real. Cena became 'Rock Hard Rod,' and then he became Ricky Stanicky. For what could have been a throwaway comedy, it really sticks with you.

reply

Well put. The movie should be instantly forgettable, but cena is a boss.
