Best Scooby incarnation ever!!!

I am 56 years old and love Scooby Doo (ok, maybe I need to get a life, but heck with that) and I cannot for the life of me understand why the whole world isn't applauding this absolutely brilliant show!!! The complexity of the story arch, the darkness, the stunning music, the stylized art (yes, it took a little time to get used to, I hated it at first, but came to love it)..all of this and more made up for the most amazing Scooby show ever!!! If the network killed it by poor programming, and if some viewers didn't get it, it is a damn shame, because this show needed to be continued. Stunning, stunning all around stunning.

Gamefaqs has a far worse population than IMDB

The startling colors of the art impacted on me well from the word go. Given the chance I would say this Scooby-Doo has more appeal to adults than any other version. My favorite episodes are those that pay homage to the works and career of Vincent Price. They are detailed so entertaingly in the character of Vincent Van Ghoul. I think VP would have approved.

I agree.

Oh good! Someone else feels the same way. I came on here all excited because I just finished the season 2 finale, and all I could find were hate posts about how the original was best and Velma/Shaggy ruined the show for them. Have they SEEN the second season? Gosh it was so creepy, amazing, and awesome. There's still room for character development, but man, the last few seconds, even, where awesome. How can people say they don't like this show when it takes so much from the old shows? They honored the old shows with the sounds effects, little in jokes "mystery on our hands!", Shaggy and Scooby eating everything in sight, and the outro - the gang traveling across country to solve mysteries - was a direct homage and lead-in to the 70's show!!
Gosh, I loved this show, and I am so glad it got the amazing ending it deserved.

I agree, I enjoyed it immensely! I thought it was a brilliant re-make! I was genuinely sad when I watched the last episode!!!

Even the newer movies don't compare to the feel of this series. There's just something about it. Enchanting.

It is the best, bar none. I really wish the series would continue. They alluded to the series picking up in the final episode but then nothing. I've had to buy the dvds twice now because the kids wore them out!

I grew up with the original Scooby in the 1970s and the characters were very flat. Mystery Incorporated had clever story lines, funny for adults and children. Who can we contact to bring it back? I emailed Cartoon Network but never heard back.

After the original series this is the best incarnation of Scooby and the gang that has even been produced, such a shame that it wasn't able to last a couple of seasons longer...
