Why no season 3?
curious
shareApparently Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Animation agreed before production of the show that SD:MI will be only 52 episodes (two seasons). It's part of a package deal with The Looney Tunes Show for the same amount of episodes.
I'm bonkers for eating you alive!
Warner Brothers motto should be "we only take care of our classic and awful DC movies, *beep* television".
"Listen, do you smell something? -Ray Stantz"
If that's the reason then it's kind of dumb, the only reason should be that they weren't successful... if the show had enough people watching then they should have renewed it or if they ran out of ideas at least give us shorter seasons or something but don't cancel the thing! After the original show SD:MI is my favorite version, doubt that they will come up with something as good anytime soon...

The way syndication prices work out, it's not necessarily advantageous of a network to order more than 52 or 65 episodes of an animated program unless it really is a ratings powerhouse (see also "Spongebob Squarepants").
"Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated" was no ratings powerhouse, love it though I did.
