I was born in 1992 (The year this movie takes place), so my earliest memories are not of this year, obviously, but for those of you who are old enough to remember this year, would you say that Mary Elizabeth's overall "look" is accurate to the time period? I feel like she was fashioned to look like a modern day hipster, but I could be completely wrong.

They took some liberties for this film. I believe they choose a stylized version instead of traditional period costumes. Charlie and Pony Tail Derek were the most accurate.
