why do they have a gardener?

If they fear produce why do they have a vegetable garden and gardener?

I totally thought the same thing. And it was at least partially a vegetable garden because twice they pulled out radishes, tomatoes and a lettuce leaf.

Good point, I missed that. I was wondering why they had a gardener because the mom was a stay at home mom. Plus she seemed to rigid to care about flowers (I assumed it was a flower garden, completely overlooked the veggies). It does now seem pointless that they had vegtables growing. I assume it was all for show. Maybe the parents disnt care what was grown and it was up to the gardener who just so happened to like vegtables.
