I hate to be "this type" of fan- but Check it out season 1 was one of my favorite shows ever.
I have watched the first two episodes of this new season, and I feel like the show is simply not as funny. Brule's acting is different (as another thread points out), and the show just isn't as amazing.
maybe the next couple episodes will be better
I also had misgivings about the season's first two episodes, but I'd say the show gets better. Does John C's acting change back to the way it does? No. Do they stop making jokes about causing Brule physical pain, or how stupid he is? No, but overall the show gets funnier, even if the jokes are different than they were in season 1. Get used to this different Brule and you'll like it more.
