Boy that was dark.

Season 3 is great so far.

Sometimes it shouldnt be ladies firrrrst! Told you!

reply

Hahah the little "told you" was hilarious. That's one of my favorite lines from the space episode.

reply

seriously dark. hoping they keep it in that vein this season.. off to a great start.

reply

I'm definitely not complaining, but he seems to be going full retard with the character.. I laugh more when he's more subtle and not so over the top. (season 1 was hilarious)

reply

I like that he seems ever more far gone, like he has a condition that's slowly worsening with time. I think it should just keep on getting more and more unsettling.

I agree.
I loved this episode, but this show works best when it's realistic, believable, when it's like a real talkshow.

"It's my first time on a jumbo jret!"

reply

It's like he's mentally handicapped now which isn't funny, he talks like a kid, abuses the slurs, uses dated kid expressions (that I can't relate to because I'm not american). They turned everything up to 11.

Brule went full retard, like Kirk Lazarus once said "never go full retard".

reply

Yup exactly!
I like it more when it feels like a real show. He's still a clueless nut.
I seem to be in the minority right now, but I wanna say,
Of course a show of him carrying around a charred corpse, slamming it into things and driving around with it in the trunk is totally unrealistic and would never be aired. It was still pretty funny but it almost seems like the show is starting to miss its own point.
My vote would be to maintain the realistic approach and keep the Dr. more subtle in his craziness- as opposed to full-on retard with serious mental problems.
But I'll leave that to the comedic genius minds of Tim, John Reilly, and Eric to decide. Looking forward to rest of the season regardless.

The plane crash was impressive, it did look real.

Sucked on a black dangus til milk came out

reply

Church was great, I just have to accept that Brule is now a slightly different character.

reply

i laughed hard when brule dressed as an altar boy walking up to light the candle while chanting praise be gord holy djengus. good show =)

800 bucks?! why didn`t you say this sh!t was professional jules? - j-roc

reply

Not exactly thrilled with the new direction of the character, but I will accept it too and enjoy for what it is.

reply

I really disliked this episode.
it's not about Dr. Brule being a new character, it's about airing a talkshow, where the host sucks a cock while on drugs.
it's just too extreme now, kinda ruins the fun.

reply

It was never a real talk show.

reply

REALLY?????
I THOUGHT IT WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

reply

I really didn't need for him to be sucking dangus. The first episode was great, but that moment was a bit too far.

reply

I kind of agree as well about the dangus-sucking. While I found it funny, I will always have to keep this episode in mind if I'm watching it with my kids or whatever.

I found myself laughing a lot, but it was mostly out shock. The show traditionally has an innocent charm, but wow.

For instance, the, "Bear" episode. That could've went the dangus-sucking route but it didn't, and it's still one of his best eps. Not to mention my mother could've watched that an laughed...but not so much with, "Church".

We'll see where this goes. Hopefully it was just that Tim and John were high as kites and just wanted to blow off some steam for an ep.

reply

It is a bit odd that it ended up with Dr. Steve getting raped at a straight black strip joint, where he mostly just partied, danced, and drank alcohol with the bear gay biker guys. Not that the bears would be more likely to rape, it's just where you'd think gay sex would be more likely to go down (no pun intended). The Friends episode's bear segment played out like the blue oyster scenes from the Police Academy films, just with a naive man with the mind of a seven year old going there instead of Harris and Proctor.

The whole season is very dark, hippy joel hitting the doc with an arrow was hilarious, don't know why.

reply

and now he is eating horsecr*p.
I just don't know how I feel about this season.
I have never had problem with more extreme stuff, but still...

reply

Are you replying to me because this is the most replied thread er...whatever, regardless. I agree in a sense. It doesn't seem like a talk show anymore, but as a personal fan of insanity and ridiculousness I'm loving the show.

"Bring me my coffee or I'm gonna' cut your arm off!"

reply

This season is awsome! light now.. LIGHT NOW DENNY!

800 bucks?! why didn`t you say this sh!t was professional jules? - j-roc

reply

yeah, it's a topic about how extreme this season is, so figured I shouldn't start another thread just to whine :p

reply

I thought episode 4 was hilarious.. Best of the season so far. But the horse crap thing was just like, uuhhh...
