The Chinese Language in the movie......

Sorry about my grammar here guys..... :)

As a Chinese, It is such a pain to watch this movie with so many non-Chinese spoken actors tried to act like native Chinese.....their accents are just horrible in this movie. the little girl's Chinese is Ok. But Uncle Han Jiao's and fake father Chang quan's Chinese are terrible that I have to watch the subtitle to even understand what are they saying. It's kinda feel like you are watching a movie about Brooklyn and everyone in the neighborhood talks with Irish accent or can't pronounce the words properly.....

Hope next time they can find some actors that can actually speak Chinese.....

I can't understand Chinese people in Chinese movies, so this really didn't bother me much. I'm sure the producers knew this was being released in America and most people wouldn't understand what they were sayng in Chinese. So the accent and dialect didn't matter much. Reggie Lee is Philipino, which explains why you couldn't understand him. James Hong is American. Not sure if he even knows Asian languages.
