Glad Jason is taking a different approach here.

I'm glad, as the respectable and talented actor that he is, is taking a different acting approach here. He's straying away from the bald, tough guy with an accent type who knows kung-fu and is good with weapons, to do something completely different and totally out of the box. Man, what a great great actor. I'm glad he's showing us some new skills in Safe. Wowz. I mean, did you see that trailer?! Something completely new and fresh from Mr. Statham. I'll be waiting weeks in advance to see this fantastic film, just so I can see Jason's new style of acting. I hope he gets the well-deserved recognition after this masterpiece comes out.

Why do you care that Jason Statham isn't Laurence Olivier?

reply

Personally it bothers me because Statham is a good enough actor that he should be doing something other than over the top action films. If you watch him in Snatch or Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, you can tell he's talented. The problem is that he keeps getting stuck in films like this.

"What difference do you think you can make, one man in all this madness?"

i am glad that at least one guy still make only action. Because thats what hes good at. No retarded tooth fairy or something stupid like that.

Let me provide Daniel Craig as an example of what a good modern action hero can be. He does great action films and intelligent thrillers like The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

I love Jason Statham's action movies as much as the next guy, but this one just looks painfully generic and overdone. I like the Crank movies because they had a high concept and were fun and over the top. What does this have, besides a plot we've seen a million times before? Are they even trying anymore? I mean, give us some credit.

Who cares wiseguy ! I don't want Jason Statham the thespian, I want Jason Statham the action star , there are plenty of other actors out there to fill the "dramatic" roles, I WANT a guy who is seriously dedicated to action.
We need a new "Charles Bronson" and Statham is as close as it gets.

....now go finish watching "The Notebok" and STFU.

Statham is awesome!!

Go Statham!

... deliver the mail or plow the backyard? Such a fool, aren't you? Why waste his talent and skills for silly comedies and dramas, when he has spent his entire carrier training martial arts and shooting guns?
