this was a good movie. didnt get much attention i think

I did happen to see dead man down and that was a pretty decent film. I saw this film and it is a lot better than i remember it to be.

This movie has been underappreciated.

In the homeless shelter, Statham gives that dude his shoes and the dude gets killed. This movie was released in April, 2012. That obviously means it was filmed before the actual event where an NYC police officer gave a "homeless" guy a pair of new, $100 warm shoes, and warm socks when the guy had no shoes- that was in November, 2012.

Any how, the next day the media found the guy was not wearing the new, warm shoes. When asked why, the guy said that people on the street would kill him for those new shoes- so he put them away somewhere.

This movie had that insight into homeless life on the street.

Movie was also insightful about the nature of gangs. They have the Chinese criminal gang, the Russian criminal gang, then they make the point that the mayor controls the NYPD, which can be the biggest and most powerful criminal gang of all! That is a profound insight, and it demonstrates why the founders of the U.S.A. put so many restraints on the government in the Constitution. I will show this movie in my political science classes.
