I've just watched this on DVD and i thought of the computer game GTA straight away. The train scene and the views of the subway overhead, the dodgy russian gangsters, crooked cops, triads and Statham pulling a guy out of a car, speeding away from the cops and then abandoning it and jumping in a taxi.
Did anyone else think this?
It's funny you say that, cause i actually thought crank (another jason Statham movie) is like GTA the movie
shareSame here OP. It's clear GTA initially based alot of it's cliche's and over-the-top violence from action movies.
The scene when the girl runs into the car with Jason driving, hitting the cops/hitmen reminded me immensely of the GTA experience.

That bit out in the street shortly after Statham meets the girl and all those triads turned up in cars, reminded me of playing a mission on gta and everys against him. Its like hed had max stars throughout.
...no 6 pint of beer and 7 bottles, and you know what? Im not even pissed.
