ROFL, biggest movie suprise for me this year....((spoiler))

When Mei grabs the gun and shoots up the bad guy's legs, thus ending right any chance of the big fight that I figured was coming, even though there was, according to my DVR, barely 12 minutes left in the program. So, kudos for literally laugh-out-loud suprising me.

I see a lot of people wanting their throwback actioneer are upset, but I was more than pleased that the smart girl did the smart thing.

That scene alone made me rate this 6/10. Great little surprise :)

I really liked that touch - especially since the guy had no idea to suspect the kid had been hardened to the business and taught how to soften up the enemy.

I thought it would be better if they fought, Jason started to get the best of him, he picked up a pipe and then Mei shot him but I guess this would have also been cliché. Really good movie, especially for us Hell On Wheels fans.

I was married to "Helen Wheels", but da Beyotch couldn't drive to save her life! lol

I, too, appreciated that surprise. A lot. After 50 years of watching movies, I'm really getting tired of the same old over-the-top fight scene at the end of *all* the other movies.

Here's the thing that was funny to me. Mei had seen both of them fight and in her estimation Alex was going to win. She had to shoot him to save Luke.

How was that surprising? He puts the gun down on the ground and then lets go of the girl and starts walking away and she's sat RIGHT NEXT to it. And I'm like, won't the kid just pick up the gun and... oh she done it. Nothing in this movie was surprising.

What if a squirrel wants a sausage?

C'mon, you may have expected her to shoot him at some point but did you really think she was going to do it right there and then?

Just my one cent since I can't afford two.

shrugs, "Anything to declare?" Answer: "Yeah, do NOT go to England!" That was the final scene of "Snatch", which was a VERY entertaining film! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jV7AE-XaO2w BTW....Squirrels are....VEGAN! :P

Agreed. Mei's interference was a great touch. When Alex was getting ready to get the information "the hard way," I was getting ready for a ten minute fighting set piece. Then Mei buts in and it was like . . . did the actor who played Alex get sick? Did the filmmakers run out of money? Where is the big fight?

The subversion of expectations was fantastic.

Biggest surprise.

Finding out Kevin Spacey was an Executive Producer for this film.

It's that man again!!
