Was Williams nominated for this movie?

I just watched it for the first time and wow, I actually didn't think she was all that good. I usually like her but I felt like she was just doing what she thinks is a Marilyn Monroe imitation the way people imitate someone during a conversation or at a party. Which is not the same thing as really acting. I'm not sure if what I'm saying makes sense. I don't know how else to explain it. I felt like she pursed her lips and every line was delivered with the Happy Birthday Mr. President song in mind. I am pretty sure I'm in the minority with my opinion so maybe I just don't get it or maybe I myself am not familiar enough with Monroe.

A bit of your own research could have easily answered your question. In fact there is a link to 'awards' for every film here. Look to the left of the page.

Others disagree with your assessment. Williams was nominated for a BAFTA and an Oscar and won a Golden Globe and Independent Spirit Award for her performance.
