poor casting for Marilyn
michelle just isnt attractive enough so i didnt buy it
shareWell, I thought she was "attractive enough" and most of all managed to convey why just about everybody must have fallen in love with Marilyn at the time.
And by the way, I've never consciously seen Michelle Williams in another role before and certainly have no reason to hype her. I just thought she was perfect in her portrayal of Marilyn.

Water polo? Isn't that terribly dangerous? - I'll say. I had two ponies drown under me.
I agree completely. Michelle Williams' potrayal of Marilyn Monroe is by far the best I've seen. It puts Mira Sorvino's or any others to shame. "Attractive enough" is irrelevent here
While the film itself is a bit on the slight side, the performances of Williams and Branagh are exceptional. Michelle Williams is the elite American Actress of her generation.
Who's High Pitch?
I agree with you to some extent. I feel Michelle nailed her essence - the voice, the body language, her sweetness and fragility. But physically, something was missing. There was just a general lack of sex appeal. Michelle Williams is adorable, but she is babyfaced, girlish and waif=like. She'd play Mia Farrow perfectly. But she doesn't have the voluptuous sex bomb qualities of Marilyn. Her look just didn't work for me, but while she can't help her appearance, I think she got the character right.
shareya she looks better in other roles and i like her with the super short hair
shareI just found the 'character' of marilyn extremely unlikeable.
She treated everyone like she was really special, clearly was not a good actress and obviously cared very little for her husband.
Who cares about anything else, WALKER IS BACK!
Just know that you are in a small minority. But, I'm sure with a name like that you are very interested in being the rare individual who doesn't like Marilyn Monroe. IMHO, you are a bog phony.
