I am sorry but there is no way michelle williams lips will even remotely remember marilyn's one, who were especially unique ,due to her plumpness and the way she learned to move em during her model day.
plus marilyn was an amazing comic actress and a somehow bright, funny person "live" even if definetely haunted . as billy wilder said : she was great on movies and greater live.this portrait make her seem plain depressed.
While I tend to agree with you, it's asking too much for another actress to fulfill the magic image and comedic sense of the real Marilyn. This was a good try and basically enjoyable. As for her being 'depressed', Marilyn had her moments of that and could have been that way during the time period depicted.

Infact I think that making a movie about Marilyn is simply a bad idea. The only person that could play marilyn or clara bow are maryiln and clara bow. full point.
