no effort in trying to'copy' marilyn's body (aka boobs and waist line)

was that such a bad idea to put some wonder wonder bra on michelle?I mean, she is not curvy at all, and her waist line is kinda... large,I mean michelle has that kind of body and that's ok but ..a corset wouldn't have been a bad idea.I ttally saw michelle williams all the time.

Troll?

I'm watching it now. When I saw Michelle I thought she's too slim to be Marilyn. She should have put some weight on for the role!

reply

I doubt an actress wants to put on weight just to be like Marilyn. The importance is the performance.

Its that man again!!

reply

Marilyn wasn't fat, she had a 22" waist and was usually 115lbs unless her weight fluctuated.

Marilyn was slimmer than a lot of slim actresses today.

No im not kidding.

Well to each their own I guess.

Williams is clearly no MM doppelganger, but there seems to be an evident effort.

reply

I think there was effort. It's hard to capture Marilyn Monroe's body measurements. Not many people have that perfect hourglass figure like she did.

I knew straight away that she was wearing something around her belly/hips to give her a more curvy figure. It looked a little unnatural. I think she had something in her bra too, so you would actually be 100% incorrect.

reply

Marilyn had big boobs (36"), small 22 inch waist, and curvy 36" hips. Williams had the small waist, just not the boobs and hips but she captured the ethereal innocent and vulnerable essence.

When portraying a real person, the most important aspect is to capture their essence, not their measurements.
