I watched this film this morning and thought it was wonderful. The Winnie the Pooh books were loved by my kids. And yes, it brought tears to my eyes several times.
One question. . . why was it "Goodbye" Christopher Robin?
Middling movie, kind of slow and not very interesting if you're not a big WtP fan.
shareUnfortunately all 3 library DVD's I had were faulty, and stopped in the middle of the film. I only saw where the mom deserted them.
shareFinally got to see the entire film after 3 faulty DVDs. The nanny made valid points to the parents regarding their neglect, and exploiting his fame. I am glad they wised up. I am also glad the mom returned. I wished Christopher had smacked those bullies at his boarding school. Maybe he did in real life. I almost cried when the parents and nanny thought he was a casualty during the war.
