Aliens abduct people for no reason, hang them upside down while they use neon signs to build a spaceship.

Twelve year olds make excellent drivers.

Charles Kaznyk's film made him go through puberty (see the beginning and end of "The Case" in the credits.)

When all the metal things were sticking to the water tower (?), I spotted a Kuwahara ET BMX. It has the white gusset and is situated towards the bottom left of the screen. Spielberg used these in E.T.

Whilst cars are being dragged by a large magnetic force to the spaceship the deputy can safely drive in his jeep even closer to the alien's ship.

That if you're a teenager your glasses won't be ripped off by a large electromagnetic force...

...ditto, thankfully, if you have braces on your teeth.
