Who is this 'Medeiros Girl'...? Pls Explain!!!

I watched this movie last night (although I missed the last little bit, just got to the part where Clara and Koldo were reunited), and I quite enjoyed it. I went onto the forums today and was reading something about the "Medeiros Girl" and demonic possession, and I was wondering what all that is about. I remember in the movie, there were creepy demon-looking things in the mirror (with the 2 women on the stairs, behind Koldo in the control room, in the window behind Clara and the French girl - is THAT the "Medeiros Girl"??

Can someone explain to me the background behind this? I've only watched Quarantine 1 & 2, and I don't recall anything about demonic possession...

You should watch the original Rec 1 and 2 as they have a completely different storyline from the Quarantine movies. In Rec, the outbreak is because of what happened to this girl. Here's the full story:

Why would you watch quarantine 1&2 before this?

Quarantine would have nothing to do with the [Rec] movies besides being not as good remakes {actually the first one, far as I know the second part takes it's own turn). Basically it's like watching The Evil Dead 2 and then watching the new remake and wondering what's going on...something to that effect.
