I just watched too, but only because it was a REC film. I didn't even look it up before watching it. It was an okay "my zombie wedding" type thing most of the way through. I wasn't scared even once, which was disappointing because I like to jump a few times. Unworthy of the REC title, which implied a different type of film than what this delivered.
shareIt's not bad, but not as well done in terms of storytelling or plot as the original. It also switches formats from found footage to something of a homage to Peter Jackson's older lower budget spatter films, which also featured very similar combinations of horror, comedy, and parody. It's understandable that it pisses fans off because that sort of thing doesn't really seem to fit in the [REC] universe.
shareI didn't even know it was supposed to be bad. I just watched it an enjoyed it a lot.
It was different to the first two, but still a great film. It was almost a black comedy.
I hear voices in my head... but I ignore them and carry on killing.

It was a fine version of what it was, but why was it part of this franchise? It has nothing to do with anything.
"They so bad their cows had to die".
Very different from the first two and would probably be less controversial if it had been a standalone zombie-flick, but I still thought it was an entertaining splatterfest with a nice settng. There aren't enough wedding-horrors out there.
I'm perfectly fine with it, partially because I never thought the original [REC] was that timeless classic everyone makes it out to be. Koldo's "kick" against handheld camera-aesthetic after about 25-30 minutes was hysterical.
