Sorry, but I don't understand all the Hate for Kevin James

Everybody can have their own opinion, but at least he does family friendly films that everyone can enjoy.

I would never bring my kids to go see the movie "Ted" even though I like Seth MacFarlane's humor sometimes. I don't want my kids to think that is how we talk to each other or to have them learn something I have to explain that is to "adult" for them to know.

I enjoyed this movie very much.

Kevin James is doing well enough that he stars in a movie almost every year since 2008.

That's my opinion and I would go see another one he's in because I think he's funny and my kids enjoy his movies as well.

*Please no nasty posts or rude remarks about my opinion.
It's just my opinion and every one allowed to have one.

Thank you

LoL, he may have "stair stepped" but man Adam Sandler's movies have been crap lately!

He is a family friendly star, but I won't go and pay for any of his movies. Jack and Jill had horrible humor and Bedtime Stories was just horrible. I think that was the last time I paid for a ticket for a film of his in 2008.

I think out of all of the people Adam has with him Chris Rock & Kevin James seem to be leading themselves out of "the pack" and can star in a movie by themselves and still draw in a good amount of money at least.

But, I still did like the movie and I liked his series on tv.

I like your my little pony reference.

My son says the same thing!

I was pleasantly surprised at Boom! Definitely much better than Zookeeper!

Kevin James is likeable enough that I wish he would star in better movies. I really believe, if he genuinely tried, James could be a great actor. There's just something about him.

"Ted" isn't a family film first of all.
Second, This movie was hilarious for adults even if it was a PG movie.
There were no kids at my showing. It was all adults.

That was the OPs point. Kevin makes family friendly movies that kids and adults can both enjoy.

I get it. He's not particularly funny for a comedian in my mind, but like Sandler, he has that redeeming quality of being very likeable. You always want his character to win in the end.

I liked this movie. Thought it had a few funny parts, and had a good payoff. Nothing particularly amazing, and it was a distant second best out of the MMA movies I watched this year, but it was good nonetheless.

because people who actually remember his name wouldn't like him, you know what i mean, people who actually go to buy ticket and see his movie don't know who he is

I totally agree with you. I don't understand the hate either. He might not be the best actor in the world, but his movies aren't bad and I really enjoyed "Here Comes the Boom".
I will definitely watch his upcoming work.

I definitely give Kevin James a lot of credit for creating comedy films that both adults and kids can enjoy. Don't get me wrong I enjoy crude/raunchy comedy films too, but it is nice to see someone do something that doesn't rely heavily on profanity and sex jokes.

The thing is though he does need to step up his game a little bit in the future. Mall Cop was pretty good, but Zookeeper was a miss. Boom wasn't bad. It was better than Zookeeper, but still not as good as Mall Cop. So I hope in the future he can come up with something as good as Mall Cop (or even better).

I don't get it either, sure hes not a very good actor but most of his movies are OK and fun, this one was very good for example.
