Did Rinku + Dinesh get paid for their story to be turned into a movie?

They are likely the ones most in need of $$$ from the profits of this movie. Just wondering if any of it will actually go to them. They don't have a producer credit or anything like that & it's based on the source material from JB's book.

Disney doesn't like to spend money for their movie topics. That's why they either pay writers slave wages to come up with "original stories" (i.e. Monsters Inc, Toy Story) or they use public domain source material (i.e. Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty). You wouldn't have seen Disney in a bidding war for Harry Potter, Hunger Games or Twilight. So while I'm sure Rinku and Dinesh would have received something for their story (even a first year lawyer would've covered that off) I doubt they're going to retire on what they received.

Quite doubtful, unless they had written and published a biography. Published biographies are copyrightable and thus can be licensed for a film or anything, but the unwritten, vocal story of two dudes is not and cannot be copyrighted.
