From the NY Post: "The coda to the story that’s not included in the narrative portion of the film is what happened to Patel and Singh after signing with the Pirates. Both pitched in the minor leagues. Patel was cut in 2010 and returned to India, where he went back to school. Singh, now 25, pitched for the Pirates minor-league affiliate. He’s currently recovering from surgery and hopes to return to the mound soon."

In a nutshell, no, they did not. I think the biggest problem was they lacked a curve or any other secondary pitch. It's awesome if you can throw in the 90 mph range, but without movement on the ball and control, it becomes pretty easy to figure out where the pitch will be thrown and when to swing.

It's a great story of a pair of guys who never played baseball and 10 months later, their natural talent got them contracts. Lots of people get signed to play in the minors, not a lot of them make it to the big leagues.
