The violence in this (spoilers)

I thought the violence in this was spectacularly done, bar a couple of scenes, which kind of made it a bit cartoon-like.

The decapitation scene just seemed effortless, as if she was cutting through butter.

Stabbing the guy with a knife held in her mouth was also a bit suspect.

But the most dodgy one was stabbing someone with a flute! Hardly the sharpest of instruments.

Minor gripes though. This was one wild movie.

It certainly didn't pack any punches.

I just saw "The Clinic" (2010) where a woman gets gutted with a key, so a broken off recorder is no big deal.

Well, she didn't exactly stab her with the flute part of it. It was the broken shard part of it. That looked pretty sharp. Remember when it broke when they were kids? You get to see it razor sharp then. She had taped it together and kept it.

But yeah, when she stabbed him with the knife in her mouth I was like.... "WHOA..." She wasn't playing around.. XD

I have deliberately snapped a recorder across my knee, way back in school when it was the "chosen" instrument that everyone had to play in music class, and, I can personally attest that they don't break cleanly. They tend to resemble the remains of a leg of lamb bone when a dog has been eating it and are only halfway through it.

Not that i've done it, but I could see very easily how one could be stabbed in the neck with a half-recorder...

I did not think the decapitation scene seemed effortless. In the seem she was struggling to pull the sickle a few times to cut his head off. But I admit it was quite short which may imply it seemed effortless.

Out all the violent scenes. I believe the sledge hammer to the groin had to be the most brutal thing in the movie.

The recorded was really sharp and it was hard plastic. Also she stabbed her in the neck. Would've been harder to get it through her skull or another tough area.
