Could have had so much potential...

The film was well made and all, but it was let down by Douglas and Hailee's lack of chemistry and the 'all over the place' acting and scenes. It could have been so good had they just put a bit more effort into it.

Also, another remake wasn't needed so soon after the 1996 version, it feels like I just saw that one last week. Just like Spider-man, there is no point in remaking the same films so quickly, the audience just get bored of it because we feel like we've seen it all before.

I'd been waiting to see this ever since I found out that Douglas was cast as Romeo, and I was not let down by his prettiness, that was the one thing that kept me watching. Heck, I would watch it over and over just to admire that face!
