Will this film appeal to a Canadian?
I'm Canadian and we have not been hit by the recession as hard as our beloved neighbors to the south. It seems like the focus of the movie the the US economy.
You mirin?

You're right, there is nothing specifically about Canada, but it does explain how the US collapse has had global consequences.
It's very well done though albeit at a somewhat quick pace (I'm pretty tuned into the economy and politics and I had to really pay attention) but this is generally a good thing.
I think it would still appeal to us though. It's better to learn from others mistakes so the same doesn't happen to us. With Harper in charge, it seems like we're spending more and maybe (hopefully not) going down the same path.

It will when the Canadian housing bubble bursts.
