Well It's About Time....
I guess if there's anything good coming out of the Inside Job documentary it looks like it appears to have given some economists who are part of the American Economics Association the wherewithal to start examining their industry and work along a moral continuum where they will try to develop an ethics code. Economists right now are one of the very few industries today do not have an ethics code. Talk was that that was in response to the Inside Job documentary. Its expose supposedly "rattled" the profession. Some have noted that is overdue. I agree. Economists need to understand that their self-interest and ties to various business organizations helped to fuel the financial crisis. their decion-making certianly suffered when it came to heading off the crisis as well as dealing with it as it erupted.
