the next crisis

I really enjoyed this documentary (Can a doc like this even be enjoyed?) and thought I'd share some resources.

There are series of videos on khanacademy.org which talk about what caused the collapse in more detail. Whereas this movie is more about indictments of criminals, Khan's videos provide a technical 'what happened' analysis.

As to the topic of this thread, I've been reading rumors that the next financial crisis that will occur has to do with the devaluing of the US dollar. Which, crazy as it may be, might inevitably lead to a hyperinflated economy reminiscent of post-WWI Germany.

Admittedly, I am not any expert on this subject. I just want to know what is the general consensus on this matter.

Here's an old youtube link of Peter Schiff warning mortgage investors about the coming housing crisis. In it, he talks briefly about the devaluation of the US currency: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jj8rMwdQf6k (73min).

Enjoy!

I want to add another link. This is where I first heard about this rumor.

I have to admit up front that it's a 30min+ advertisement for Stansberry & Assoc. They also try to sell you a subscription at the end of the ad. But it's very much worth the watch. Most of what he says seems substantiated.

Fwiw, the link came from an Alex Jones website.
