Yes, I'm not quite sure what is happening there. I've never seen anything like it... The "Seasons" are confusing...



Season "9", of Ancient Aliens, comes out on (Region 1 - USA) DVD on October 25th.

Yes, Season "11" is being released on DVD as Season "9"...



I ...THINK... what happened is that...

Prior to about a decade ago, TV Seasons used to run from the FALL through SPRING. Then during the holidays, holiday specials were causing TV Shows to air episodes sporadically, and were unpredictable... Ratings suffered... And Fans missed seeing episodes.

Then, TV Shows started airing "Half" seasons to deal with that holiday programming nonsense. Part One was in the FALL. Part Two was in the SPRING.

NOW it seems, according to the Episode Guide on the webpage above, "Seasons" of TV Shows are airing from the SPRING through FALL... Or at least with "Ancient Aliens".

"Ancient Aliens", is one show that has been on air during all of this transitioning... and ...I THINK... different websites, production companies, and the DVD manufacturing industry are all confused as to what aired when, and what was considered a Season...

In Addition, there were a few DVD releases that were Season # Part 1, and Season # Part 2. What should have been a whole new Season, might have got bumped "down" to the previous Season, and it was given the "Part 2" label. This may have been also do to the fact, that someone decided to release a DVD set and label it as Season # "Part 1", when it should have been been labelled as the "Complete" Season #, and to keep consumers from looking for a "Season # Part 2", when there wasn't supposed to one... the merchandising department, gave in, and Seasons got bumped "Down".

Anyway, that is what I think.



HEY, at least all of the episodes have been released on DVD, and what is coming out on October 25th, will bring us right up to date with last episode that aired on September 2, 2016!
