Why I love Ancient Aliens...

I think of it as Non-fiction Science Fiction. With all the *beep* "reality" shows everywhere, this is a dose of campy speculative fiction using ancient history as a backdrop. If people can plunk down hard cash to see Twilight movies, which are utter garbage, or tune in to watch the vapid and useless Kardashians, then I can kick back on Friday and get lost in some funky alien theories.

Precisely.
Exactly the same with me. It's just rubbish that is kind of a querky fantastical alternative history.
It's fun

Same here. It's entertainment in our house -- I enjoy the stock footage of places I may never see in person and it doesn't hurt anyone. I don't understand why it puts such a bee in some people's bonnets.

That seems to spring from the basis that AA theory questions the personal "beliefs" of the people with the bees in their bonnets.

This is usually proven by the fact that more often than not, the people under those bee'd bonnets start off by trying to characterize others as "believers" in AA theory so that they can THEN go on to ridicule them for being "believers in AA theory".

Apparently, it's ok for THEM to question the "beliefs" of OTHERS, but they'll be damned if they'll stand idly by while someone else questions THEIRS.

It's actually comical to watch once you get past the ridiculousness of it all.

It's just fun to watch.
