Great performance, and a reminder of office culture

Really good performance by Daisy Ridley of a timid person who struggles to decide what to write on a coworker's retirement card, and after looking at all the clever notes written by the others and thinking so hard about it - she settles on "happy retirement".

She is lonely, and has found comfort in her loneliness. When a new guy at the office shows some interest, she is intrigued and slowly comes out of her shell. Ridley does this very well, we have either been this person before or we know people like this.

What follows is a series of uncomfortable moments and some sweet ones, where she has doubt and insecurity. All these ring true to life.

The very end might make you feel like you need more. I felt that way, but after thinking about it, I think it was the right way to end this story. I realized I did not need more, but I wanted more. I wanted to see more of Fran.

Also, since the pandemic sent us home, and now in a full time working from home job, it was a great reminder of the cheeseball dynamics of the office.

All around good watch. Funny, touching, a little sad.
