share2149 - Earth is at the point where it'll no longer be able to support life. The only way humanity can survive is to relocate. This relocation is Earth in the past thanks to a fracture they discovered.
shareYeah but the issue is the time frame. The moronic writers decided that the dino era would be so cool so they made the fracture only go back to that time period. Jeez. They could have made it go to some point in the 15th century or 100 years ago but no, they went all dino on us and made it not only ludicrous but quite possibly the dumbest thing ever on television.
And people still wonder why it got canceled. I wonder how the hell it ever got on the air.
I'm fairly sure they decided on dinosaurs before anything else. The plot was just a tool to get dinosaurs on screen. It was basically porn but with dinosaurs instead of sex.

The really unbelievable part is the idea that the people from 2149 could hope to save their time period at all. They'd have to send people back by the billions to have any effect. It could very well have been the corporation that wanted to strip mine the past that came up with and spearheaded the idea in the first place.
