Totally predictable

Nothing stellar here...not great dialogue...not original...very predictable storyline...with the exception of Blanchard's portrayal...nothing really stands out.

I liked the acting from the woman who played the baby's mother. Also the lead actress wasn't too shabby either. Although predictable, I thought the movie was a simple, enjoyable watch that has something to say about negligent, rich, self-absorbed mothers. It's an eye opener for those type.

reply

Yeah, thought the acting quite good in this, but gee, they really had to try hard with the poor script and poorly written characters

I think it was the editing. It could have been an ok movie but some of those scenes were too long and what was the ending supposed to mean.

reply

It was a bit predictable but didn't ruin my enjoyment of the movie. I thought the acting was really good and it kept me hooked to the end.

Ellen Page is one of my favorite actors. I've been looking forward to this one for a while.

I enjoyed- mainly just to see her.

Would watch anything with her in it.

reply

I too am an Ellen Page fan. She was remarkable in Hard Candy as well as in Juno but this her latest offering was far from remarkable and barely memorable. As for Ms. Janney, I was just glad to see her in something other than Mom. Probably the most dreadful program since 2 broke girls.

reply

Chapmannancy81- you've never seen anything else Alison Janney has been in? Start with West Wing - its an exceptional show!

reply

I certainly am not impugning Ms. Janneys' accomplishments. An outstanding actress without question. I was merely stating my opinion that she is far above that dreadful sitcom. But as in any profession we have a our downfalls.

reply

Snotty, idiotic review. Do you like anything? Does anything come up to your high standards? Why don't you enjoy the characters, try to get into their lives rather than sit there like a moron trying to "predict" the plot.
