Actually, I thought he'd been studying Robert Vaughn's vocal mannerisms as part of his prep for the role. I've seen the original TV series with Vaughn as Napoleon Solo, and I was pretty impressed with the similarity.

There is a lot of stuff Guy Ritchie could mine from it for another movie or 3. David McCallum did a ton of action work. He is always climbing or jumping over something, running and rolling, pretty impressive.
