A bad difference in this show's quality since Brian McCann left in 2012?

I've loved him since Late Night, but I swear I could tell a difference in his show when Brian McCann left.

For those that don't recognize the name, Brian appeared in many skits and was a writer right from the start. He played Minty the Candy cane among others and when he left in 2012, I think the show suffered.

I don't know if he's lost anyone else, but with repeated so-so bits like the wiki-bear and the generic version of name that tune, not to mention some so-so guests I'm not really blown away.

Anyone else feel this way?

I'm right there with ya. Conan was far and away my favorite person ever on TV on Late Night. I enjoyed him on the Tonight Show, but some of the dynamic was gone, and the early TBS shows were still really funny, but yes most of the recurring bits now are just not that funny and while I still DVR it I rarely watch it anymore. I hadn't thought about Brian McCann being gone, but maybe that has something to do with it.

I'm not a fan of most the Deon Cole stuff since its always just sorta generic "White people do this, black people do this" comedy and it seems like he's on there all the time, and Wiki-bear is not funny since its just one-note joke (its a teddy bear saying terrible things, So what?), the name that tune thing is not that funny except for the prizes they give out but that's like one second of the bit, I hate the "random mascots dunking a basketball" bit, even thought that was sorta something they did on Late Night, but the dunking part is not that funny. Andy is still funny when he interjects stuff and the remotes are always good, but the recurring bits are nothing like they were back in the day.
