Conan O'Brien taping segments for show in Cuba

Conan O'Brien is spending his Presidents Day weekend in Cuba taping segments for an episode of his TNT talk show to air next month.

The network says Sunday that O'Brien is taking advantage of President Barack Obama's efforts to improve relations with the island country. O'Brien's show on Cuba will air March 4 at 11 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

TNT promises the trip will give O'Brien's viewers "a rare glimpse into the daily life of a country not often seen by American viewers."

I heard he was in Cuba over the weekend shooting for the show. March 4th seems like a long time in the future to air the videos. Does March 4th have some significance? Since he didn't tape a show on Thursday and Monday, I was hoping it meant he was in NY for the SNL special, but no. :(

Well it won't be know because this is the last week of February and the first week of March is next week, I looked online and they do list tapings for Mondays and Thursdays, otherwise it would be poiontless just taping shows 2 days a week. Inb less if they taped 4 shows 2 a day for those two days, but even doing that is it worth it?

March 4th seems like a long time in the future to air the videos

There were probably several factors, like having booked people plugging their films/books for a couple of weeks already. But more likely because they undoubtedly had a ton of footage to sift through and whittle down into several, short segments.

I was so happy when they showed the crazy taxi driver and the car door that kept opening up. It told me they were recording Conan constantly and ready for anything, so we probably got to see the best of the best of Conan on that episode.

Oh and it seemed like they filmed the episodes for the first week of March all in February to get a week off. Made for some funny moments during the interviews.
