Never even heard of Chappie until you mentioned it. Looks like it might be good. I completely missed that one in the theaters, was that in limited release in the US?
I saw Ex Machina last weekend. I enjoyed it, but it might not be for everyone. Very slow moving. Mostly dialogue, no action and very few changes of scenery. Almost like a play.
Alicia looked really cute on Conan's show, but she's even cuter as the robot.
Re: blocked out stuff: really! I didn't expect that at all. I'm more curious to see it now.
Chappie wasn't as well received and I'm super on-the-fence about seeing it. As of right now, it's on the backburner. Waaaay back burner.

I'm almost certain Chappie was a nationwide release. I remember seeing commercials for it fairly often back when it was released.
