Brian Stack
He does so much on the show, I can't believe he's leaving.
But at least one more visit from The Interrupter!

I dare say the show won't be quite the same. Good for him. Hopefully bigger and better things are on the way.

No Kevin Dorff, no Brian McCann and now no Brian Stack!
For those wondering, he's joining Stephen Colbert on the Late Show.
^^^Oh really hes joining Colbert thats awesome!
I feel bad for not knowing that guys name all these years
Oh really? I'm not as upset then. I plan on watching that show and love Colbert. But the two Brians (McCann and Stack) were the best writers/actors on Conan, and now are gone. Pretty much all of their reoccurring bits are done by Stack like Wikibear, the name that song bit, etc. At least this gave us one more The Interrupter.
shareI guess money talks. He was awesome, I'm going to miss his voice.

Many gifted writers and performers have come and gone on Conan's show, but this has to be the greatest loss ever.
Well, we're closing in on two months since Stack's departure and it's really noticeable.
The monologue and the interview segments of the show are still the same, but the in-between comedy bits have been bombing.
I don't watch Colbert. Has anyone seen Brian on there?
It'll be September before Colbert debuts on CBS.

Colbert hasn't debuted yet. Letterman just retired last week and had his final show. Now they will have 3 months to prepare for Colbert's show in September.
I don't watch Colbert, but I get the impression that his following is so massive, the three month wait isn't going to be a worry for anyone.
shareAs far as filling Dave's shoes goes I would say no. He does have a loyal following though so ratings wise I wouldn't be surprised if he's able to beat Kimmel but I doubt he'll beat Fallon on a regular basis. I figure he'll have a big first week and then fade into second place rather quickly.

shareJust caught up on last week's CONAN........this news sucks!
**** JAY LENO....GO COCO!!!!!!!!!!
ITS THE END OF AN ERA!
He was like the last vestige of Conan's Late Night as far as the writers who appeared in sketches goes. Him, McCann and Glaser were THE BEST when it came to the crazy Conan sketches in the Late Night days.
At least this montage featured my two favorite Stack bits: Hannity the travelling salesman, which Conan channels every time he goes into an "old-timey" voice, and the theater ghost!
shareI'll be watching Colbert now to see Stack. He was always the funnier Brian.
A true beauty

DOESN'T HE DO THE VOICE OF WIKIBEAR?!
NOOO!
The big moments are gonna come. You can't help that. It's what you do afterwards that counts.
Not only was he WikiBear (and others mentioned above), but he was the only writer who could (could? or would?) improvise with Conan during a live taping. Everything he ad-libbed was so funny to me, like when he was WikiBear or LaFontaine.

His ad-libbing is often funnier than the written parts of the skits.
