This movie promotes a terrible message to kids

I'm not talking about the sex, drugs and alcohol. I'm ok with all that and all the stupid antics. Feel free to have some fun. I'm more worried about the idea that popularity is so incredibly important. Partying shouldn't be about developing notoriety, it should be about having fun.

Congrats to the producers of this terrible mess for trying to make kids feel like their life sucks if they aren't popular in high school. I'm glad Hollywood is here to remind teenagers that attention whores are the happiest/most mentally stable people in the world. </end sarcasm>

Yeah that message sucks just as much as Costa's 'back in staten island' lines.

Wow, I almost didn't catch that, yeah, you really hit something there. It does suck to see the movie and then feel like that will never be you. Hopefully it's more inspiring, like makes kids want to be more social with each other.

Yea if you look around the party, its not a very diverse crowd. 99% of the people could be models

Sir, the override... It's been overridden...

Yeah this whole I have to be popular crap kinda makes people look like idiot sheep. I had only one close friend in my last 3 years of school that I hung out with constantly, we were like sisters. We knew plenty of other people at school too and sometimes would hang out with some of them, I didn't realize until 20 years later meeting a ton of them on FB that I was looked as very popular, friends said they wish I hung out with them ..were jealous of me etc.. but were too embarrassed to say it at the time. I wasn't popular really, just an individual with my best friend not giving a crap if i was popular or not.
